Unreal Engine 5 Project Samples
This is an example of a product configurator I built in Unreal Engine. It is meant to serve as a quick visualization tool for designers and stakeholders to experiment with a variety of shapes and colors in realtime.
Here's a glimpse of the Mars exploration game I'm crafting. I rigged the Perseverance Rover model in Blender, built the environment, and designed the game logic in Unreal Engine. Drive the rover and experience Mars' terrain, replicated from various available data sources. My vision for this project is to meld functionality with gaming, effectively gamifying science and engineering to encourage deeper engagement.
Meta mart and VR
An interactive 3D marketplace that brings together vehicle models from across the web.
Users can navigate the marketplace as a third-person character, examining and interacting with a range of 3D vehicle models. See something you like? Hit "i" and a browser window will directly take you to the source URL for the 3D model.
Another key feature of this project is the seamless transition between a typical third-person view and a VR view. This was all made possible by the Unreal Engine 5.
Consider this as a small demonstration of what a larger 3D marketplace could be. Exciting opportunities and applications await, from design prototyping to virtual exploration, and beyond.
Virtual Gallery project
This is a minute long clip that demonstrates a virtual art gallery designed with Unreal Engine 5. This project features a Metahuman avatar of myself exploring an array of artworks and digital models. Set in a tranquil forest, the experience merges the digital world and nature. Notably, the avatar can interact with any artwork, leading the user to the source link of the work, providing a seamless blend of interaction and discovery in this immersive digital environment.
Virtufit: Digital twin for test fitting apparel
In this clip, I tackle the problem of inconsistent sizing in online shopping using the power of 3D modeling and Unreal Engine. Initially, I employ Polycam to create a 3D model of myself, serving as the foundation of a virtual avatar. This avatar is then introduced into Unreal Engine for further development and calibration. The video exhibits the process of 'trying on' digital clothes onto the avatar, demonstrating a tangible solution to the e-commerce fit problem. The precise visualization emphasizes the accuracy of the virtual fitting process, highlighting how technology can enhance our shopping experiences. This clip effectively showcases the fusion of innovative tech and practical application, revolutionizing the realm of online fashion.
Alias assets in UE5
This clip presents a car, designed in Alias, navigating through a city street constructed in Unreal Engine 5. The focus of the project was to examine the practicality and efficiency of importing professional-grade models from Alias and transforming them into game-ready assets in Unreal Engine. This sequence displays the car's fluid movement within the cityscape, showcasing the seamless integration of a high-quality model within a gaming environment. This clip serves as a compelling example of the potential of combining advanced design software with real-time creation platforms for game development.
Cesium plugin and virtual Earth
This video demonstrates a virtual Earth, conceived in Unreal Engine 5, powered by Google Maps API and enhanced by the Cesium plugin. The aim of this project was to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of constructing large-scale geographic simulations from real-world mapping data.
The video starts with an aerial perspective of downtown Los Angeles, then moves to Pasadena's Rose Bowl. providing a broad view of the urban morphology as rendered in the simulation. The focus then shifts to a unique feature of this environment - the dynamic manipulation of the sun's position and the resultant interplay of light and shadow.
VR with iPad
Think creating a Virtual Reality (VR) experience requires a huge budget? This video demonstrates that with just an iPad and freely available software, anyone can craft an immersive VR world. It showcases a landscape built using Unreal Engine and Quixel's free library, highlighting the potential of these simple yet powerful tools.
The video also demonstrates how the integration of Apple's ARKit and the Livelink Cam app can turn an iPad into a controller for a virtual camera. It even showcases how dynamic assets from past projects, like a motorcycle model, can enrich new creations. Concluding with a unique viewpoint from a virtual camera, this video is a testament to the accessibility and versatility of VR creation in the digital age. It's an inspiring journey into what's possible with imagination and readily available tools.
Dive into the creation of a cabin in the woods and its VR demo. This video showcases the project's development and the immersive VR experience it offers, highlighting the blend of architecture and virtual technology. Explore the serene woodland setting and the cabin's integration into its environment.
